Need info on a Takisawa TES-8 gap bed engine lathe

Not sure I am posting this question in the most effective place but here goes,

I just got a nice looking brute of a Takisawa gap bed lathe Model TES-8 or at least that is cast into the bed of the lathe. It looks like it was built in the 70's with the appropriate green import paint scheme but it is no light weight at around 8,000 lbs and 20 hp. It has a 30 inch four jaw chuck on it with an inch or two more capacity than that with the gap out and the steady rest that came with it has a 12 1/2 inch cenfer height so I guess it will swing about 25 inches or so with the gap back in.

It has a tag on the headstock that says it was made for CHORI Mfg. but Takisawa is cast into the bed. Anybody have any clues to help me figure out what I have here and maybe find some printed info?

All help is appreciated, thanks
