Weiler lathe getting too hot

Hi

I have a Weiler MDU lathe. Sorry the picture uploader wont create the binary file, so here is af picasa link:

The spindle bearing has some green grease in it, and I have just burned the electric motor.... It turns very tight at first. When the grease is heated a little from the friction it gets better. However the spindle bearing casing gets 40-50C hot, so I suspect it is not the right lubrication.. Any know what kind of lubrication the bearings use? and maybe some assembly drawing of the spindle..
