A question I am hoping you guys can help me out with. I searched under Graziano chuck jaws and didn't find anything pertinent in the results so decided to just ask here.
My friend just picked up a Graziano SAG 14. It came with two chucks. One was a set-tru Buck 9" 6-jaw. It came with one piece inner and outer jaws and also matching bottom 2 piece jaws. This uses the American Standard Tongue and Groove 8" size. As you can see from the attached photo the previous owner made quite a few sets of aluminum soft jaws for it. It does not have reversible hardened upper jaws but with the standard size they should be easy enough to find. The 6 jaw is on the lathe atm so not pictured but the top two boxes are all the jaws for that chuck.
The other chuck that came with the lathe from the factory was a 8" MPT (Made in Italy) three jaw scroll chuck. This also came with one piece inner and outer jaws you can see in the box next to the chuck, it is the lower box in the picture. It also has the bottom jaws for 2 piece jaws. There are a few sets of aluminum uppers and one blank set of steel uppers.
The question is, does anyone know what that jaw type is? I checked Monster Jaws and didn't find any matches. And randomly Googled MPT chuck jaws and looked at the images but didn't see any mention of what they are. They have a 10mm groove with a key axially and a 20mm groove radially. He would like to pick up a set of reversible hardened steel jaws for this for generic use also.
(the two sets in the middle box are MPT type but 12/22mm on the grooves so don't fit any chucks he received)
Any information you guys can provide would be much appreciated. If you need any more information please just ask. Thanks much.
