Hi all..
Working on getting my older HB575 running and I have a couple of questions. First, the gearbox/headstock call for DTE light. Upon inspection at the dipstick, it is well over half full, however during loading it lost a little fluid and I would at least like to top off as a starting point. I have DTE light #24, however it is almost clear in appearance. The oil coming on the dipstick is significantly more yellow in appearance. Certainly, with time and use any oil will contaminate some, however I would like to be as thorough as possible. I have little doubt that the two are fine to use together, but does anyone know if this is how the older DTE light came normally, or should I invest the time in draining and flushing?
Second, the apron oiling setup is difficult to determine. The bottom control box is simple, but the way oiling is what is throwing me for a loop. Does anyone know the fill and checking points? Recommended lubricant?
Thanks very much for any help!
Joe
