My new machine has Multifix size A and my old one size Aa the difference is massive, it is strange to me there is no intermediate Multifix size. As the attached picture shows Tripan 111 does kind of fit that in between size.

Seems like the Aa is a bit light for the schaublin 102 but size A is too large. I wonder how of the difference in performance is due to the toolholders?
