oscillating Variator on Schaublin 136

I changed the seals etc on my 135's variator which I think was largely successful. The one notable problem being that the variator now starts oscillating back and forth along its shaft when I run the machine at high speed. Any ideas what I did wrong? Is it as simple as the belt needing a bit more tension or is there something else I forgot to put back in etc.
