Hi,
I have had this problem for a time with threading either metric or imperial, The cut does not match, For example: A 16 thread per inch screw
should moves the carriage one inch at 16 times rotation of the spindle. I measure the travel and indeed it is one inch, and also for the other
in between spindle rotation gives a correctly travels. But if you compare the travel with a existing 16TPI screw the single point cutting tool does not match with the tread, it is out of sync. Logically it should match since the pitch is correct. Any idea what is the problem?
